Irked – Who Asked: Tyne Tees & Wear Punk with Bite, Grit, and Zero Apologies

Irked are a no-frills punk outfit from Tyne Tees & Wear, making loud, direct music together since 2022. Self-described as a “proper band,” Irked lean into classic DIY values — sharp riffs, blunt honesty, and songs that don’t overstay their welcome.

Their debut album The Grievance landed in May 2025 via Wrong Speed Records, cementing their place in the UK’s fiercely independent punk circuit. The record channels frustration into focused, high-impact tracks built for small venues and big reactions.
